We did it!
We have far exceeded our target of £30,000 in our third and final year of fundraising for The Lymph Node Analyser Appeal. This money will help resource the Lymph Node Analyser at the Chartwell Unit, Princess Royal University Hospital, Farnborough. Explains Mr Desai, Consultant Breast Surgeon at the PRUH, “A big ‘thank you’ to Glades’ shoppers, retailers and management for selecting the Lymph Node Analyser Appeal as your chosen charity and for your fantastic support over the last 18 months. The resulting boost in our funds and profile helped us to purchase this vital piece of equipment in February this year – although we still need to raise funds to resource it. Traditionally, patients had an anxious two-week wait but this new device shows results on the day of biopsy, allowing any required surgery to be completed at the same time. Fundraising to keep the equipment in operation is now the task of the charity South East London Breast Cancer Trust (SELBCT), so please continue to support their wonderful efforts.” Mr Anil Desai, Consultant Breast Surgeon Princess Royal University Hospital.
