Christmas countdown at the Glades!
Christmas has arrived at the Glades this month with a mesmerising 3D theatre, festive carol singing, and fabulous decorations to welcome a burst of Christmas spirit to the mall, plus shoppers will be given the chance to make a difference!
The merriment will kick start on Monday 7 November with the high-tech stereoscopic film, ‘Rocket’s Sleigh Adventure’ which will be shown from deep within a breath-taking Ice Palace, built especially for the festive season. Included in the ticket price is a group meeting with Father Christmas himself, who will be treating the little ones to a special present and, for a small additional fee, children can also have their very own photo with Santa to take home with them!
Keep your ears alert for jolly tunes because throughout December the Glades will play host to groups of carol singers, who will be representing various local charities and raising much-needed funds through coin collections.
Spreading the message of goodwill within the community, the Glades is proud to once again be supporting the ‘Gifts from the Heart’ appeal, in association with The Salvation Army. Look out for a special Christmas tree in the Debenhams Atrium, which will feature heart-shaped decorations that bear the first name and age of less fortunate children living locally who have been nominated by social services, for whom shoppers can purchase a suitable gift to leave, unwrapped, at customer services! As a special treat, Build-a-Bear is offering 10% off to customers purchasing a gift specifically for ‘Gifts from the Heart’ appeal, so what are you waiting for?

The “Rocket the Reindeer™” film was a great success last year and we are happy to invite our younger shoppers to enjoy the show again! We are also delighted to be working with The Salvation Army again for such a fantastic cause. ‘Gifts from the Heart’ helps make Christmas extra special for so many unfortunate children in our local area, we’re aiming to beat last year’s donation of 2,500 toys!”
